Despite the best efforts from the track maintenance team at Turfway Park Racing & Gaming, the lingering effects from the extreme colt and winter weather have rendered it impossible to conduct live racing Friday evening.
Crews continue to work around the clock to try to prepare the track for the rest of the weekend, and racing is expected to continue on Saturday, with a first post at 5:55 p.m. ET. The Pick 5 carryover of $180,036 originally slated for Friday will now carry over to Saturday's late sequence. Sunday racing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
Beginning next Wednesday, Jan. 15, live racing at Turfway will expand to 10 races to accommodate the races canceled due to the weather.
